Frequently Asked Questions
What is Mango Flower (Paclobutrazol 23% SC)?

Mango Flower is a plant growth regulator (PGR) formulation whose active ingredient is paclobutrazol 23% SC (suspension concentrate).

It reduces excessive vegetative growth, promotes flowering and fruit set in mango, and is used to synchronise and improve flowering quality.

How does paclobutrazol work?

Paclobutrazol inhibits gibberellin biosynthesis in plants.

By lowering gibberellin activity it reduces shoot elongation and vegetative vigour, redirects plant energy toward reproductive development, and helps induce and synchronise flowering.

This mechanism is used to improve flowering and fruit set in mango orchards.

How many times can I apply paclobutrazol per season?

Typically one well-timed soil drench per flowering cycle is used on mango. Re-application frequency depends on product label, tree vigour and local recommendations.

Avoid frequent/repeated applications beyond label instructions because paclobutrazol can be persistent in plants and soil.

Always follow the registered label for maximum number of applications and intervals

Can I use Mango Flower together with other fertilizers or pesticides?

Compatibility varies. Paclobutrazol is often applied as a separate soil drench step in the orchard.

Tank-mixing with other agrochemicals should be done only if the label permits; avoid mixing with products that may alter uptake or increase phytotoxicity.

When in doubt, apply separately or consult technical support.

Can I use it in crops other than mango?

Yes, it is also effective in apple, guava, grapes, litchi, and ornamentals.

Can gardeners and urban growers use it on potted plants or home gardens?

Yes—users report strong results without burning leaves or spots. Combi-2 addresses micronutrient deficiencies in indoor and urban planting setups.
