Microbes (Carrier Based Consortia - Azotobacter, Acetobacter, Rhizobium, Phosphorus Solubilizing Bacteria PSB, Potassium Mobilizing Bacteria KMB)
Product Description:
- Utkarsh Microbes is a carrier-based consortia biofertilizer that complies with the Fertilizer Control Order (FCO) of 1985.
- It contains a mixture of nitrogen fixing bacteria - Azotobacter, Rhizobium, Azospirillum along with Phosphorus solubilizing bacteria PSB and Potassium Solubizing Bacteria KSM for excellent growth and development of all kinds of plants and trees.
- Utkarsh Microbes solubilizes insoluble fertilizers in the soil due to which growth of plants increases and salts in the soil decreases, its reduces pH and EC of soil.
Key Benefits:
- Utkarsh Microbes boosts root development, flowering, and fruiting.
- Utkarsh Microbes improves plant stress resistance, water regulation, and overall vigour.
- Utkarsh Microbes promotes robust plants with enhanced growth, productivity, and disease resistance.
- Utkarsh Microbes improves water retention, taste, colour, texture, yield and disease resistance of the crop.
- Utkarsh Microbes enhances higher crop yields and better-quality produce.
Method of Application:
- Drenching
- Drip irrigation.
- Flood irrigation
- For optimal results, apply near the root zone of the plants
Doses:
- Field Crops: 2 to 4 kg per acre
- Potted Plants: 5 gm per liter of water
- For best results, use Utkarsh Microbes every 3 to 6 months to improve soil quality and ensure efficient use of chemical fertilizers.
Target Crops:
- All crops
Mixing Instructions:
- Do not mix with chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
- When used in conjunction with Utkarsh Trichoz-P and Nematoz-P, Utkarsh Microbes form an excellent product for controlling soil-borne fungal diseases such as root rot, collar rot, stem rot, and fusarium wilt. It is also effective against various bacterial diseases in soil and different types of nematodes, including root knot, cyst, and reniform nematodes.

Frequently Asked Questions

A powder (carrier)-based consortia biofertilizer containing a mix of beneficial bacteria (Azotobacter, Azospirillum, Rhizobium and other N-fixers), PSB (phosphate solubilizers) and K-mobilizers (KSB/KMB). It’s formulated so the microbe mix can be applied easily to seed, soil, nursery beds, pots and fields. The product is made to FCO standards.
Typical listed organisms: Azotobacter, Rhizobium, Azospirillum (N-fixers), PSB (Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria) and KSB/KMB (Potassium-mobilizing bacteria). Exact CFU/organism mix and guaranteed counts are printed on the pack (check the label / technical sheet).
• Seed treatment / transplant dip: Once before sowing/transplanting.
• Field application / soil placement: Generally once at sowing/planting; repeat if soil is very poor or under high disease/stress — commonly every cropping season or every 30–60 days for high-value crops as recommended on pack.
• Pots & container crops: At potting/transplanting and repeat every 1–3 months depending on plant demand.
• Compatible: Works well with most organic inputs, FYM/compost, many biofertilizers and some biopesticides (Bacillus, Pseudomonas, Trichoderma under certain timings).
• Caution: Do not tank-mix with broad-spectrum chemical fungicides or strong sterilants at the time of inoculation — these can kill the beneficial microbes. If you must use a chemical fungicide, apply it separate in time (apply fungicide well before or after microbial inoculation as per product label).
• With VAM (mycorrhiza): Yes — mycorrhiza and consortia bacteria are usually complementary and often used together to improve P uptake and root health. Apply VAM at transplanting and microbes as recommended.
• With Trichoderma: Most users combine them but note some reports show timing/placement matters — when in doubt, apply mycorrhiza/microbes at planting and apply Trichoderma 10–15 days later to minimize competition. (See dedicated Trichoderma guidance and research.)
You may observe improved germination and seedling vigour within 7–14 days (seed treatment/transplant dip). Enhanced root growth, greener foliage and better uptake of applied fertilizers generally become visible within 2–4 weeks; yield benefits appear over the crop cycle. Results vary with soil, crop and management.
Store the packed product in a cool, dry, shaded place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the pack sealed when not in use. Check the pack for expiry date — typical shelf life for carrier-based powders is several months to a couple of years depending on packaging; follow label
Yes — it’s a biofertilizer composed of beneficial microbes and safe when used as directed. Use basic handling precautions (avoid inhalation of dust, wear gloves/mask if dust is generated). Keep away from children.
No — biofertilizers enhance nutrient availability and reduce the need for chemical fertilizers, but they are best used as part of an integrated nutrient management strategy (combine with balanced NPK and soil amendments like Huminoz-98 for best results).
Overuse is typically wasteful rather than directly harmful; excessive organic carrier or improper application may create anaerobic patches in poorly drained soils. Follow recommended dosages — more product does not always equal better results.
Utkarsh Microbes Deficiency Guide
Understanding Deficiencies
Deficiency Symptoms (Visual Cues)
Spot the signs early. Protect your yield.
Nitrogen Deficiency
Stunted plant growth with widespread yellowing across older leaves due to locked nitrogen.
Phosphorus Deficiency
Dark green foliage turning purple or reddish along leaf margins from phosphorus lock-up.
Potassium Deficiency
Marginal leaf chlorosis and scorched brown edges showing reduced potassium mobilization in soil.
Early detection. Better decisions. Stronger yields. Spotting symptoms ealry allows for timely intervention and optimal nutrient management.
