Utkarsh MACRO is a balanced macro fertilizer specially designed for planted aquariums. It provides Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), Potassium (K), Magnesium (Mg), and Sulphur (S) in the right ratio for healthy plant growth.
Yes ✅ – if dosed as per recommendation. It is aquarium safe and does not harm fish, shrimps, or snails.
Within 7–10 days of regular use, plants show better color, faster growth, and stronger roots.
In 220 g pack of MACRO (to be dissolved in 2 L water):
• N (Nitrogen) – 7.69%
• P₂O₅ (Phosphorus pentoxide) – 7.24%
• K₂O (Potassium oxide) – 30.57%
• Mg (Magnesium) – 8.17%
• S (Sulphur) – 10.77%
The nutrients are required in very small and precise amounts. Without a precision scale, home-made mixes can cause imbalances or overdosing. Utkarsh MACRO is scientifically measured and blended, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and safety.
• It remains stable for 2–3 months if stored in a cool, dry, dark place.
• Shake gently before use.
Dissolve the entire 220 g pack in 2 liters of RO/distilled water and store in a clean bottle away from sunlight.
Dose 10 mL of stock solution per 50 L of water 3 times a week (providing varying ppm based on tank size: 20L = 10ppm NO₃/2.8ppm PO₄/9ppm K; 50L = 5ppm NO₃/1.4ppm PO₄/3.7ppm K; 100L = 2.5ppm NO₃/0.7ppm PO₄/1.8ppm K; 200L = 1.2ppm NO₃/0.35ppm PO₄/0.9ppm K), preferably after water changes or on alternate days.
Yes, Utkarsh MACRO is 100% Made in India with international quality standards and priced reasonably for long-term use.
Each 10 mL dose to 50 L adds about 1.1 ppm N, 0.46 ppm P, 3.7 ppm K, 1.2 ppm Mg and 1.6 ppm S.
* How it works out
• Stock: 220 g in 2 L, so each mL holds 60 mg magnesium sulphate, 40 mg potassium nitrate and 10 mg mono potassium phosphate (MKP).
• One 10 mL dose holds 600 mg, 400 mg and 100 mg of each.
• In 50 L, that gives 12 ppm magnesium sulphate, 8 ppm potassium nitrate and 2 ppm MKP.
Yes, it is generally safe to use. All three salts (magnesium sulphate, potassium nitrate and MKP) are inorganic and get dissolved in water anyway. Moisture does not make them toxic, and mould cannot grow on them. Do a few quick checks first.
* Use it if:
• The salts are white, little yellowish or colourless crystals, just damp, sticky or caked.
• There is no smell (no oily, musty or chemical odour).
• The packets are intact, or any leak came only from the other salts in the same set.
Even if the three salts have mixed through leaking packets, it doesn't matter, because they all go into the same 2 L stock.
* Don't use it if:
• You see brown spots or other discolouration.
• There is a smell, visible dirt or any foreign particles.
• The moisture clearly came from outside water, such as a wet or soaked courier box, since that water could carry contaminants.
* Effect on dosing
The water in the salts adds weight without adding nutrients. So 220 g of moist salts holds slightly less active material, perhaps 5–10% depending on how wet it is.
• Make the stock exactly as normal: dissolve everything and make it up to 2 L.
• Per-dose ppm will be slightly lower than the figures I gave earlier. That is harmless; nothing needs correcting.
• If any undissolved grit or particles remain after stirring, let them settle and pour off the clear solution.
* Likely cause
Magnesium sulphate heptahydrate releases part of its crystal water when it gets hot, from about 45–50 °C. Courier vans and warehouses in India can easily reach that in transit. The released water then wets the packet from inside, even if the seal was perfect.
Potassium nitrate and MKP also absorb humidity and cake.
Aquarium MACRO Deficiency Guide
Understanding Deficiencies
Deficiency Symptoms (Visual Cues)
Spot the signs early. Protect your yield.
Nitrogen Deficiency
Old leaves exhibit pale yellowing across entire leaf surface due to low nitrogen levels.
Phosphorus Deficiency
Foliage shows dark green or purple discoloration accompanied by severely stunted overall plant growth.
Potassium Deficiency
Small brown pinholes develop across mature leaves, degrading structural integrity and aesthetic clarity.
Magnesium Deficiency
Interveinal chlorosis develops, causing distinct yellowing between leaf veins on mature foliage.
Early detection. Better decisions. Stronger yields. Spotting symptoms ealry allows for timely intervention and optimal nutrient management.
