• Seed treatment: once before sowing.
• Nursery / root dip: once at transplanting.
• Soil drench / broadcast: at sowing/planting and repeat at key crop stages or every 30–45 days if disease pressure is high. Many manufacturers recommend one application at sowing and one or two follow-ups during crop critical stages.
• Compatible with most organic inputs, biofertilizers and manures (best practice: mix Trichoderma with FYM/compost before soil application).
• Avoid mixing with strong broad-spectrum chemical fungicides and some bactericides at the same tank mix — these will kill Trichoderma. If chemical fungicide use is necessary, apply Trichoz-P 4–5 days before or after chemical application to allow Trichoderma to establish.
• Disease suppression may be noticeable in 7–14 days (reduction of damping-off, less wilting). Improved root vigor and healthier plants commonly show within 2–3 weeks of application.
• For full field-scale disease control, combine seed treatment + soil application + good cultural practices.
Trichoderma is generally safe; overdosing talc WPs is unlikely to cause phytotoxicity but may be wasteful. Avoid excessive mixing with fungicides that will kill the product. Excessive use of any product is not recommended — follow label dosages.
Many Trichoderma talc WP products are accepted for organic and sustainable farming systems (because they’re biological), but organic certification rules differ by agency — check your certifier and product documentation if you plan certified organic production.
Yes. EDTA chelated form is gentle on plants when used per recommendations. No reports of leaf burn or residue when applied correctly.
Check CFU per g or ml (e.g., 10^6–10^9 CFU/g typical ranges across products) and the manufacture & expiry date. If potency or storage guidance is missing, contact supplier.
Trichoderma viride is a biofungicide and works well as a biofungicide between 25 to 35 degrees centigrade temperature.
Trichoderma viride is not used for composting. Whenever we do composting, temperature of the composting material goes 70+ degrees centigrade. In this temperature, Trichoderma viride is killed and becomes useless. We do not recommend Trichoderma viride species for composting.
Instead it can be used for enriching the fully composted material.
For composting, use Utkarsh composter. Dosage 4 ml per litre water. Use this for 4 kg non composted material.
