• Mode of sowing: Direct sowing is recommended. Sow seeds about 3–5 cm deep directly in well-prepared soil, raised beds or large grow bags. Avoid waterlogged areas.

• Sunlight: 5–7 hours of sunlight per day.
• Soil Type: Well-drained sandy-loam to loamy soil with good organic matter. Chickpea prefers light to medium-textured soil and does not perform well in waterlogged conditions.
