Product Description:
Utkarsh 781 Blackgram Seeds produce healthy, vigorous blackgram plants with nutritious grains. Well-suited to warm Indian conditions, this crop is ideal for farms, kitchen gardens, and suitable outdoor growing spaces. With adequate sunlight, well-drained soil, and timely watering, it can provide a rewarding homegrown harvest.

- Season of sowing: June–August; suitable for warm and humid Indian conditions.
- Mode of sowing: Direct sowing. Sow seeds about 2–3 cm deep in well-prepared soil, raised beds or large grow bags. Avoid transplanting.
- Germination time: Approximately 4–8 days under suitable temperature and moisture conditions.
- Sunlight: 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
- Soil Type: Fertile, loose and well-drained loamy or sandy-loam soil with good organic matter. Avoid waterlogged and poorly drained soil.
- Watering: Water moderately and regularly, especially during germination, flowering and pod development. Avoid excessive irrigation.
- Harvesting: Approximately 70–90 days after sowing. For dry blackgram, harvest when the pods mature and begin turning dark or dry. For green pods, harvest earlier while they are tender.
- Blooming Period: Generally begins around 6–8 weeks after sowing, followed by pod formation.
- Planting Period: June–August, preferably with the onset of the monsoon and suitable warm conditions.
- Expected Plant Height: Approximately 30–60 cm, depending on growing conditions.
