Pink Boll Worm Pectinophora Gossypiella Pheromone Lure for Catching Insects/Moth of Pink Boll Worm Caterpillar in Cotton, Okra with Funnel Trap
Targeted Action:
Utkarsh Pink Boll Worm is intended for use as an attractant of Pink bollworms (Pectinophora gossypiella) in cotton Farms, in order to trap them for monitoring and mass trapping. This is found to reduce the intensity of pest incidence, leading to a reduction in crop damage thereby improving the yields / output.
Product Description:
The Active Ingredient blend of Z-Z-7, 11-Hexadecadienyl-1-acetate & Z-E-7, 11-Hexadecadienyl-1-acetate is a potent attractant for males of Pectinophora gossypiella. This liquid formulation @ 3mg is loaded in silicon rubber septa, which is placed in funnel sleeve / moth traps in the field.
Application Protocol:
Place the Lure/Dispenser in the funnel /sleeve trap or moth trap and place the trap at various locations in the field just above the canopy level of the crop. Recommended to use one lure of Utkarsh Pink Boll Worm per trap. One Utkarsh Pink Boll Worm lure would last upto 30-45 days depending upon climatic conditions. The trapping density should be adequate to manage pest infestation. The recommended trap density is 40-50 traps per hectare for mass trapping and 8-10 traps per hectare for monitoring.
Packing:
- Utkarsh Pink Boll Worm lure is packed in a metalized triple-layer pouch.
Storage and Disposal precautions:
- Store the dispenser away from sunlight in a dry and cool place.
- Do not open the pouch until just before placing it in the trap lure holder.
- The product expiry date is 2 years from production date under good storage conditions and without opening the sealed pouch.
