Targeted Action:
Utkarsh Diamond Back Moth is intended for use as an attractant of Diamond back moth (Plutella xylostella) in Farms/ Open and protected cultivation of many cole crops such as cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli etc., in order to trap them for monitoring and mass trapping. This is found to reduce the intensity of pest incidence, leading to a reduction in crop damage thereby improving the yields/output quality.

Product Description:
The Active Ingredient blend of Z-11-Hexadecenal & Z-11-Hexadecenyl acetate is a potent attractant for males of Utkarsh Diamond Back Moth. This liquid formulation @ 0.5 mg is loaded in silicon rubber septa, which are placed in water or PheroGlo traps in the field.

Application Protocol:

  1. Place the Lure/Dispenser in the water trap and place the trap at various locations in the field just above the canopy level of the crop.
  2. Recommended to use one lure of Utkarsh Diamond Back Moth per trap. One Utkarsh Diamond Back Moth lure would last up to 30-45 days depending upon climatic conditions.
  3. The trapping density should be adequate to manage pest infestation. The recommended trap density is 40-50 traps per hectare for mass trapping and 8-10 traps per hectare for monitoring.
