Product Description:
Utkarsh 534 Cluster Beans Seeds produce healthy, bushy plants with tender green cluster bean pods. Well-suited to warm Indian conditions, this variety is ideal for home gardens, kitchen gardens, pots, and grow bags. With adequate sunlight, well-drained soil, and proper care, it can provide a regular harvest of fresh, homegrown cluster beans.
Key Features:
- Packet contains: Utkarsh 534 Variety Cluster Beans, 1 Pack of approx. 200 Seeds. (Raw, Traditional Seeds, Non-Hybrid, 100% Pure & Desi Strain, Locally Adapted, and GMO-Free)
- Season of sowing: February to April and June to August; best suited to warm growing conditions.
- Mode of sowing: Direct sowing is recommended. Sow seeds about 2–3 cm deep directly in the soil, raised beds, pots or grow bags. Avoid transplanting.
- Germination time: 5–10 days.
- Sunlight: 6–8 hours of direct sunlight per day.
- Soil Type: Fertile, well-drained loamy or sandy-loam soil enriched with organic matter. Cluster beans can tolerate relatively dry conditions but do not perform well in waterlogged soil.
- Watering: Water regularly and moderately during germination, flowering and pod development. Once established, the plants can tolerate short periods of dry conditions.
- Harvesting: Approximately 45–60 days after sowing. Harvest the pods when they are young, tender and green, before they become fibrous. Frequent harvesting encourages continued pod production.
- Blooming Period: Generally begins around 4–6 weeks after sowing, followed by flowering and pod formation.
- Planting Period: February to April and June to August.
- Expected Plant Height: Approximately 60–120 cm, depending on growing conditions and variety.
- Growing Location: Outdoor kitchen gardens, home gardens, raised beds, balconies, terraces, pots and grow bags.
- Suitable For: Home gardening, kitchen gardens, terrace gardening, container gardening and beginner gardeners.
- Watering: Maintain moderate and consistent moisture, particularly during flowering and fruit development. Allow the soil to dry slightly between watering, but do not let the plants remain dry for prolonged periods.
- Care Instructions: Provide 6–8 hours of sunlight and use fertile, well-drained soil. Add compost or well-decomposed organic manure before planting. Maintain adequate spacing, remove weeds regularly and avoid overwatering. Harvest young, tender pods frequently to encourage continuous production. Light support may be provided if the plants become tall or spread outward.
