Product Description:
Utkarsh 791 Bajra Seeds produce vigorous pearl millet plants suitable for cultivation in warm Indian conditions. Bajra is a hardy crop known for its adaptability to relatively dry conditions and different soil types. With adequate sunlight, proper spacing, and timely care, it can provide a good grain harvest.

- Packet contains: Utkarsh 791 Variety Bajara 1-Pack Seeds (50gm). (Raw, Traditional Seeds, Hybrid, 100% Pure & Desi Strain, Locally Adapted, and GMO-Free)
- Season of sowing: June–July, mainly with the onset of the monsoon. It is well suited to warm Indian conditions.
- Mode of sowing: Direct sowing. Sow seeds approximately 2–3 cm deep in well-prepared soil. It can be grown in rows, raised beds or suitable open areas.
- Germination time: Approximately 3–7 days under suitable temperature and moisture conditions.
- Sunlight: 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
- Soil Type: Well-drained sandy-loam to loamy soil is suitable. Bajra can also perform well in relatively light and less fertile soils, provided drainage is good. Avoid prolonged waterlogging.
- Watering: Water lightly to moderately according to soil moisture and rainfall. Bajra is relatively drought-tolerant once established, but adequate moisture is important during germination, flowering and grain development.
- Harvesting: Approximately 70–100 days after sowing, depending on growing conditions and variety. Harvest when the earheads are well developed and the grains have reached maturity.
- Blooming Period: Generally around 45–65 days after sowing, followed by earhead and grain development.
- Planting Period: June–July, preferably with suitable monsoon conditions.
- Expected Plant Height: Approximately 1.5–2.5 metres, depending on growing conditions.
- Growing Location: Outdoor farms, open fields, kitchen gardens, large home gardens and other spacious growing areas.
- Suitable For: Farmers, home gardeners, kitchen gardens, small-scale cultivation and growers looking to cultivate a traditional Indian millet crop.
- Watering: Maintain sufficient moisture during germination and early growth. Once established, avoid excessive irrigation and allow the soil to drain well. Additional watering may be beneficial during prolonged dry periods.
- Care Instructions: Provide 6–8 hours of sunlight, sow in well-drained soil and maintain proper spacing between plants. Remove weeds regularly during early growth and provide adequate moisture during flowering and grain formation. Avoid excessive watering and waterlogging. Harvest when the earheads and grains are properly mature and dry.
