Product Description:
Utkarsh 541 White Radish Seeds produce crisp, tender white radishes with healthy root development. Ideal for home gardens, kitchen gardens, pots, and grow bags, this variety performs best in cool and mild Indian weather. With proper sunlight, moisture, and loose soil, you can enjoy a fresh homegrown radish harvest.
Key Features:
- Packet contains: Utkarsh 541 Variety White Radish (Safed Mooli) 1-Pack Seeds (6gm). (Raw, Traditional Seeds, Non-Hybrid, 100% Pure & Desi Strain, Locally Adapted, and GMO-Free)
- Season of sowing: September to February; best suited to cool and mild weather. In warmer regions, sowing can be adjusted according to local temperatures.
- Mode of sowing: Direct sowing is recommended. Sow seeds about 1–2 cm deep directly in loose soil, raised beds, pots or grow bags. Avoid transplanting, as radish develops best when grown directly in its final location.
- Germination time: 3–7 days.
- Sunlight: 5–7 hours of sunlight per day.
- Soil Type: Loose, fertile and well-drained sandy-loam or loamy soil rich in organic matter. Avoid compact or stony soil to encourage straight, well-shaped roots.
- Watering: Water regularly and moderately to maintain consistent soil moisture. Avoid allowing the soil to dry out completely or remain waterlogged.
- Harvesting: Approximately 35–60 days after sowing, depending on growing conditions and the desired root size. Harvest while the roots are young, crisp and tender.
- Blooming Period: Generally 6–10 weeks after sowing if the plant is allowed to mature beyond the normal harvesting stage. Radishes are usually harvested before flowering for better root quality.
- Planting Period: September to February.
- Expected Plant Height: Approximately 20–40 cm above the soil, with the edible root developing below the soil surface.
- Growing Location: Outdoor kitchen gardens, home gardens, raised beds, balconies, terraces, pots and grow bags.
- Suitable For: Home gardening, kitchen gardens, terrace gardening, container gardening and beginner gardeners.
- Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist throughout the growing period, especially during root development. Water at the soil level and avoid excessive watering.
- Care Instructions: Use loose, well-drained soil and sow seeds directly in the final growing location. Provide adequate spacing for proper root development. Ensure 5–7 hours of sunlight, remove weeds regularly and maintain consistent soil moisture. Avoid compacting the soil around the plants. Harvest the radishes at the desired size before they become overly mature or woody.
