Why Choose Verticoz-P?
Nourishing your crops with precision and care.
How Does Verticoz-P Work?
A simple, clear explanation of the biological mode of action.
Spores attach to the insect body
When sprayed on leaves or applied in soil, Verticoz-P spores cling to the pest's body surface.
Germination & penetration
The fungus germinates, enters through the cuticle, and spreads inside the insect.
Fungal multiplication
Inside the pest, it grows rapidly and produces natural insecticidal compounds that breaks the insect from inside.
Natural death of the insect
The insect weakens, stops feeding, and dies — without chemical residues.
Biological action is gradual, not instant. Use early for best effectiveness in IPM programs.

Application Program
Dosage Details
Beveroz: 2-3 ml per liter of water | Verticoz-P: 2-3 grams per liter of water | For tank mix: Use both at recommended rates
When to Spray
Early morning or late evening | Avoid spraying in direct sunlight | Ensure complete coverage of affected areas | Focus on undersides of leaves and stem joints
Repeat Schedule
First spray: Day 1 | Second spray: Day 7-10 | Third spray: Day 14-17 (if needed) | Monitor plants between applications
Expected Timeline
Day 3-5: Mealybugs start dying | Day 7: Visible reduction in population | Day 14: Strong control achieved | Day 21: Complete elimination (with proper application)

Visible reduction in 5-7 days. Strong control in 2-3 applications.
Dosage & Application
Simple, clear dosage guidelines for effective use.
Foliar Spray
- For Mealybugs, Aphids & Whiteflies
- Spray both leaf surfaces & hidden colonies
- Compatible with most biofertilizers & Bio Pesticides (Trichoderma, Pseudomonas, Beveroz).
Root/Soil Drench
- For soil-inhabiting Pests & Root Mealybugs
Application Tips
- Repeat every 7–10 days, 2–3 times depending on infestation.
- Use early morning or late evening for best fungal survival.
- Avoid strong fungicides in the same tank.
- For chemical sprays, keep a gap of 3–4 days.
- Use within 20 days of opening.
- Keep soil slightly moist for best activity.
- Results visible in 5–7 days; full control in 2–3 applications.
Utkarsh Verticoz-P is a biological insecticide containing the entomopathogenic fungus Verticillium lecanii in a powder formulation.
It infects and controls sucking pests (mealybugs, aphids, whiteflies, thrips, jassids, some scales) and can be used safely in field crops, horticulture, plantations and home gardens.
Most effectively controls mealybugs, aphids, whiteflies, thrips, jassids and certain scales.
It can suppress early mite populations too (best at initial stages). It’s primarily used against sucking insect pests.
Safe for and widely used on: vegetables (tomato, chilli, brinjal, cucurbits), fruits (mango, banana, citrus, grapes, pomegranate), ornamentals & flowers, plantation crops (tea, coffee), pulse & cereal crops and pots/terrace gardens.
- Spray in harsh mid-day sun (UV kills spores)
- Tank-mixing with incompatible chemicals (fungicides, strong bactericides)
- Poor spray coverage (undersides of leaves and hidden crevices are key)
- Waiting too long to spray (early intervention gives best results)
Because Verticillium lecanii is a living fungus, initial reduction in pest activity is usually visible in 5–7 days (infected insects become sluggish/dark and die).
For full control, expect 2–3 sprays at 7–10 day intervals, depending on pest pressure.
Yes — it’s an eco-friendly biological control: residue-free, safe for applicators with normal handling precautions, and non-toxic to pollinators and beneficial predators when used as directed.
Use basic PPE while mixing/spraying (gloves, mask, avoid inhalation of powder).
Store in original sealed pack, in a cool, dry, shaded place.
Avoid moisture & high heat. Use before the expiry/manufacture dates on pack. Shelf life and storage conditions are printed on the label.
Yes. Unlike sulphate-based mixes, Combi-2 is fully compatible with Phosphatic and Calcium fertilizers, ensuring no precipitation or blockage of nutrients.
- Verticoz-P: biological, no harmful residues, supports soil & beneficials, low resistance risk, slightly slower onset but sustainable.
- Chemical insecticides: fast knockdown, may leave residues, can harm beneficials & pollinators, and lead to resistance.
- Use biological solutions for sustainable IPM.
Frequently paired for better results:
- Beveroz (Beauveria bassiana) — another entomopathogenic fungus (good for rotation or combined programs).
- Sudoz-P (Pseudomonas fluorescens) — improves plant vigour & suppresses pathogens; useful as a supportive product.
- Trichoz-P (Trichoderma) — improves plant resistance and soil health; complementary for soil disease management.
- Huminoz-98 — humic acid to boost plant recovery and microbial colonization.
- Roots Multiplier & VAMoz — strengthen roots so plants better tolerate pest stress.
Use combinations thoughtfully — avoid tank-mixing with incompatible chemical pesticides.
Check these:
- Coverage: Did the spray reach the undersides & crevices?
- Weather: High UV, low humidity or heavy rain reduces fungal efficacy — spray in evening/cloudy conditions.
- Timing: Were applications frequent enough (7–10 day intervals)?
Compatibility: Was the product mixed with an incompatible chemical? If problems persist, repeat applications and consult Utkarsh technical support.
