Product Description:
Transform your home garden into a colourful floral haven with this beautiful collection of Utkarsh Cosmos Seeds produce beautiful daisy-like flowers in attractive purple and white shades, adding vibrant color to home gardens and outdoor spaces. Easy to grow and relatively low-maintenance, cosmos performs well in Indian conditions with adequate sunlight and well-drained soil. Ideal for garden beds, pots, borders, and containers.
Key Features:
- Packet contains: Utkarsh Cosmos Flower 1-Pack (Approx. 100 Seeds). (Raw, Traditional Seeds, Non-Hybrid, 100% Pure & Desi Strain, Locally Adapted, and GMO-Free).
- Season of sowing: September–February; Cosmos grows well during mild and cooler months in most parts of India.
- Mode of sowing: Direct sowing is recommended. Sow seeds about 0.5–1 cm deep in well-prepared soil, pots, grow bags or garden beds.
- Germination time: Approximately 7–14 days under suitable temperature and moisture conditions.
- Sunlight: 5–7 hours of sunlight daily. Morning sunlight with some protection from harsh afternoon heat is suitable in warmer regions.
- Soil Type: Loose, fertile and well-drained loamy or sandy-loam soil. Avoid excessively rich or waterlogged soil, as it can encourage excessive foliage with fewer flowers.
- Watering: Water moderately and regularly during germination and early growth. Once established, Cosmos is relatively tolerant of short dry periods.
- Harvesting: Flowers can be harvested when the blooms are fully open and the stems are firm. Regularly cutting flowers can encourage continued blooming.
- Blooming Period: Generally begins around 8–12 weeks after sowing and can continue for several weeks with proper care.
- Planting Period: September–February, depending on the local climate and growing conditions.
- Expected Plant Height: Approximately 60–120 cm, depending on variety and growing conditions.
- Growing Location: Outdoor gardens, home gardens, borders, balconies, terraces, pots and grow bags with sufficient sunlight.
- Suitable For: Home gardeners, flower gardens, terrace gardens, balcony gardens, container gardening, beginners and those looking to attract pollinators.
- Watering: Maintain light to moderate moisture during establishment. Once plants are established, allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between watering and avoid overwatering.
- Care Instructions: Provide adequate sunlight, use well-drained soil and maintain sufficient spacing for air circulation. Remove weeds regularly and add a small amount of compost or organic manure if required. Remove faded flowers regularly to encourage new blooms. Avoid excessive fertilizer and watering, and provide light support to taller plants if necessary.
